Saturday, October 20th was a beautiful Day for an LLF Duck Hunt, almost too beautiful! This caused a lack of ducks, but in-spite of that youth got 3 teal, 1 gadwall and a large Canadian Goose!
LLF organized 7 hunting groups mostly of 3 hunters with two adults per group for a total of 17 hunters. Breakfast was served at 5:30 am, LLF provided a safety briefing including some hunting techniques by Clay Creech, MDC Conservation Agent. All parties had returned by 9:30 am. LLF taught youth how to clean the birds they took.
LLF hosted hunters form several surrounding communities: Marshall, Carroll County, Livingston County, Brookfield, Marceline, Salisbury, New Boston and West Adair County. An LLF board member, Zach Morris even drove up from Columbia to mentor some youth for the event.
